The InkRoom has a panel of four experienced judges who will review submissions each month and nominate the winners. Sally OdgersSally Odgers is Tasmania's most published living author. She had her first story published in the NSW School Magazine when she was 12 years old, which was a great thrill as they paid her for her story! Since then she has had over 270 titles published including family stories, humour, historical novels, theatre stories, verse, children's picture books, non fiction, romance, adult horror, fantasy and science fiction. She has been a mentor to gifted writers and is passionate about encouraging young writers to pursue their dreams. Sally Odgers is a gifted writer and well qualified to assess submissions to the InkRoom. Joy PerkinsJoy Perkins currently teaches Years 11 and 12 English at Glossop High School Senior Campus at Berri, South Australia. She LOVES teaching and has a warm rapport with her students. She has a BA - Drama/English, BA Hons - Drama/English, BEd Specialisation- English/Drama. Joy enjoys writing children’s stories and contributes online to the Drama Teachers Group for Senior Secondary Assessment Board of SA. She lives on a 22 acre property with her husband and a menagerie of animals including a feisty talking, swearing Corrella named Coco, who says “Hello Darling” to Joy every morning. Joy is really excited about the InkRoom and looking forward to reading your stories and poems. Shelley MiddletonShelley Middleton has taught for fifteen years and has positively influenced the lives of many students. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and Japanese and a Diploma in Education with Merit. She has written, directed and produced two educational videos and developed and coordinated a course for Japanese Tourism and Hospitality which was endorsed by the Department of Education. Shelley is enthusiastic about writing and as a successful English teacher knows what to look for in writing styles. She is excited about working with the Inkroom and keen to become involved with all the budding authors out there! Glenda RobertsGlenda Roberts is an experienced teacher, specialising in English. She has taught both primary, secondary and senior students for thirty-one years. She holds a Diploma of Teaching, B.A. (Education) and A.Mus.A - piano. She loves reading and has done much to encourage young authors in the schools where she has taught. Several of her past students have become published authors and one has 'hit the big time' as a well known author. Glenda would love to have done some writing herself but she was always too busy teaching others. She is looking forward to reading the work submitted by students in the InkRoom.
